Welcome to JantaraX Apps. This Privacy Policy describes how JantaraX Global IT Private Limited collects, uses, shares and protects information in connection with app.jantarax.com and with our mobile applications published on Google Play and the Apple App Store — and it is the privacy policy linked from those app-store listings. By using the Site or our Apps, you acknowledge this policy. Our headline promise is simple: this marketplace needs no account and no personal information to browse, play or read, we do not sell personal data, and we do not use advertising trackers. For anything privacy- or support-related, email us at support@jantarax.com.
1.Who we are
JantaraX Apps (“we”, “us”, “our”) is the official digital marketplace operated by JantaraX Global IT Private Limited, a company registered in India (GSTIN: 09AAHCJ2698H1Z2), at app.jantarax.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Site, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have.
For any privacy question, data request or support request, contact us at support@jantarax.com. Our main corporate website is www.jantarax.com.
2.Scope of this policy
This policy applies to app.jantarax.com — including its catalogue pages, search, demos and reading content — and to the mobile applications we publish (see “Privacy policy for JantaraX mobile applications” below). It does not govern other JantaraX properties (such as www.jantarax.com, internship or client-service portals), which have their own policies, or third-party websites we link to.
3.Privacy policy for JantaraX mobile applications
This Privacy Policy is also the official privacy policy for mobile applications published by JantaraX Global IT Private Limited — including applications distributed through Google Play and the Apple App Store — and is the policy linked from our app-store listings (the “Apps”). Where an App provides additional in-app or store-listing disclosures (including its Google Play Data Safety section or Apple App Privacy details), those disclosures supplement this policy for that App.
The next four sections describe how our Apps handle information. The remaining sections of this policy (how we use information, sharing, retention, security, your rights, children’s privacy, grievance and changes) apply to the Apps as well, unless an App’s own listing states otherwise.
4.Information our Apps may collect
Not every App collects every category below. An App collects only what it needs for its features, and its store listing reflects its actual practices. Depending on the App and the features you use, the categories may include:
- Information you provide: for example, your name, email address or profile details if an App offers accounts; content you create in the App (notes, entries, game progress, reading lists); and messages you send us for support.
- App activity & usage: interactions with App features, settings, game progress, achievements and preferences, used to run the App and improve it.
- Device & identifiers: device model, operating-system version, language, app version, and — only where an App’s features require it — an app-instance or advertising identifier, used for functionality, analytics, security and (if ever applicable) advertising measurement as disclosed in the store listing.
- Diagnostics: crash reports, performance data and error logs, used to find and fix problems.
- Approximate location: only if an App offers a location-based feature and you grant permission. Our Apps do not collect precise location unless that is the clear purpose of a feature and it is disclosed in the store listing.
- Photos, files, camera, microphone & notifications: only when you use a feature that needs them and you grant the device permission. Media you select stays under your control and is used only for that feature.
- Purchases: if an App ever offers paid content, payment is processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We do not receive or store your card details; the stores may share a purchase confirmation/receipt with us to unlock your content.
Some Apps work fully or partly offline; in that case your content is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us. Where an App stores content on our servers to provide sync or backup, that will be clear in the App and its store listing.
5.App permissions & third-party services
- Permissions: our Apps request only the device permissions their features need (for example, notifications for reminders, or storage/photos when you choose to import something). You can grant or revoke permissions at any time in your device settings; some features may not work without the permission they depend on.
- Third-party services & SDKs: Apps distributed through Google Play or the Apple App Store may rely on platform services provided by Google or Apple (such as Play Services / App Store services, push notifications, crash reporting or sign-in) and, where disclosed in the store listing, privacy-respecting analytics or crash-diagnostics providers. Those providers process limited technical data under their own policies and our instructions where applicable.
- No sale of data: we do not sell personal data collected through our Apps, and we do not share it for third-party advertising unless an App’s store listing explicitly says so.
6.Your choices, account & data deletion (Apps)
- Permissions & notifications: manage them anytime in your device settings.
- Uninstall: uninstalling an App removes its locally stored data from your device, subject to your device/OS behaviour.
- Account deletion: if an App offers accounts, you may delete your account from within the App where that option is provided, or by emailing us at support@jantarax.com from your registered email address. We will delete or anonymise your account data unless we must retain some of it for legal, security or fraud-prevention reasons, which we will explain.
- Data deletion requests without an account: email support@jantarax.com with the App name and relevant details; we will act on verified requests within the timelines required by applicable law.
- Support: for any privacy or support question about a JantaraX App, contact support@jantarax.com.
7.Google Play & Apple App Store disclosures
The Google Play Data Safety section and Apple App Privacy (“privacy nutrition label”) details on each App’s store listing summarise that App’s data practices and should be read together with this policy. We take care to keep those store disclosures accurate and consistent with this policy and with each App’s actual behaviour, and we update them when practices change. If there is ever a conflict, the disclosure that is more specific to the App and feature applies.
This page’s URL (https://app.jantarax.com/privacy) is the privacy policy URL provided for JantaraX applications in the Google Play Console and Apple App Store Connect.
8.Information we collect
JantaraX Apps is designed to work without accounts and without asking you for personal information. In practice, the information involved is limited to:
- Preferences stored on your device: your dark/light theme choice, saved only in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us.
- Searches and interactions on the Site: catalogue searches, filters and game interactions (such as the Word Forge demo) are processed locally in your browser. We do not build profiles from them.
- Technical and server log data: when your browser requests a page, our hosting infrastructure automatically processes standard technical data — IP address, browser type and version, device/OS information, pages requested, timestamps and referring URLs. This is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure and diagnose errors.
- Information you choose to send us: if you contact us by email, we receive the details you provide (such as your email address and message content) so we can respond.
We do not currently operate user accounts, payments, comments, file uploads or advertising on this Site, and we do not intentionally collect government IDs, financial details, precise location, contacts, photos or health data through it.
9.How we use information
- To operate, maintain and improve the Site and its catalogue, demos and reading experiences.
- To remember your on-device preferences (such as theme).
- To keep the Site secure, prevent abuse, fraud and technical issues, and to debug errors.
- To respond to enquiries you send us.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
10.Legal basis for processing
We process information on one or more of these grounds, as applicable: (a) your consent (for example, when you write to us or accept optional features); (b) legitimate uses permitted under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), such as voluntarily provided data and processing necessary to provide a service you request; (c) performance of a service you ask for; and (d) compliance with law. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it at any time — withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.
13.Third-party links & services
The Site links to other JantaraX properties and may link to external websites. Those destinations operate under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party sites, and following a link is at your discretion.
14.Data retention
- Theme preference: stays in your browser until you clear it — we never receive it.
- Server logs: retained by our hosting infrastructure for a limited period needed for security, debugging and operations, then deleted or anonymised.
- Enquiry emails: kept only as long as needed to handle your request and for reasonable business/legal record-keeping, then deleted.
15.Security
We use industry-standard measures appropriate to the Site’s nature — HTTPS encryption in transit, reputable hosting infrastructure, access controls and least-privilege practices. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please take care with any information you choose to email us, and avoid sending highly sensitive data unless we ask for it through a secure channel.
16.Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including the DPDP Act), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and obtain a summary of how it is processed.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data, and erasure of data where applicable.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Raise a grievance with us (see “Grievance & contact” below) and, where the law provides, approach the Data Protection Board of India.
- Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity, where applicable.
To exercise a right, write to support@jantarax.com from the address concerned so we can verify the request. We will respond within the timelines required by law and may ask for reasonable verification to protect your data.
17.Children’s privacy
The Site is a general-audience catalogue and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. It requires no sign-up and requests no personal information to browse, play the demo or read openings. If you believe a child has provided us personal data (for example, by email), contact us at support@jantarax.com and we will delete it promptly, as required by applicable law.
18.International visitors
JantaraX is based in India and the Site is operated from infrastructure that may be located in India or other countries where our hosting providers operate. By using the Site you understand your technical data may be processed in those locations, subject to this policy and applicable law.
19.Grievance & contact
For privacy questions, rights requests or grievances, contact:
- JantaraX Global IT Private Limited — operator of JantaraX Apps (app.jantarax.com)
- Email: support@jantarax.com
- Website: www.jantarax.com
We aim to acknowledge grievances promptly and resolve them within the period prescribed under applicable Indian law, including the DPDP Act and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
20.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the marketplace grows (for example, if accounts or new features launch). The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date, and material changes will be highlighted on the Site where appropriate. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acknowledgement of the updated policy.
